The Clean Annapolis River Project (CARP) is a charitable  non-profit environmental organization incorporated in 1990.

CARP’s vision of ecologically healthy watersheds is directed by a mission to enhance the ecological health of the Annapolis River watershed through science, leadership and community engagement.

CARP currently employs 6 full time staff as well as seasonal staff, and is governed by a 15 member volunteer Board of Directors who meet on a monthly basis. In the 25 years that CARP has operated, the organization has built strong ties with a number of partners including other NGOs, various levels of government, academia, community organizations, and stakeholder groups. CARP has successfully delivered a wide range of environmental enhancement, education, research, and monitoring projects that have led to significant measureable and tangible successes
