The St. Mary's River Association is a non-profit organization that provides leadership and engages partners to enhance, protect, and promote the St. Mary's River as a healthy ecosystem for Atlantic salmon and other native animals and plant species, as well as providing a rich community resource.

The SMRA has worked with a variety of local groups and volunteers to promote a healthy river for Atlantic Salmon and other flora and fauna that rely on the St. Mary's watershed for their habitat.
